This is for the "Real Life" person behind Robin Hawk. Star Wars geek, only a little. Having been a member of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood only since September 7, 2007. For the Dark Brotherhood character, see Robin Hawk, which needs quite a bit more work.

Biography
thumb|300px|left|user Robin Hawk Canadian breakfast Born Canadian in the Capital City, called Ottawa. On the way home from the hospital, in 1978, my parents listened to a classical piece of music on an 8-track, before tape decks were established in cars. A single child, I grew up in the same home I knew all my life. I had two cats named Mischef and Scamp and lots of gold fish. My parents put me in lots of activities, listed below, and we usually yearly went to Saint John, New Brunswick to visit family and spent a least 203 weeks on their houseboat.
Primary School
I was one of those kids that everyone picked on. I think I was the only kid people picked on, but I guess it gave me character.
Outside of school, I was in Girl Guides, took piano lessons, swimming lessons earning my Bronze Medallion in the end, was in synchronized swimming,
High School
My life at South Carleton High School was the start of my geek-hood. I was in concert band, drama club, excelled in Communications Tech and was part of the Audio Visual department.
Outside of school I went to Sax lessons, was in a Jazz and Concert band, part of two different musical theatre communities (one I played a small roll and the other I learned to make an ottoman), sea cadets (see below),
During my this time I also joined Sea Cadets and had the best time ever. I actually loved that discipline and I feel every young person should go through the same thing.
College
I initially applied for Television Broadcasting at Algonquin College not getting in cause I lacked the experience. I volunteered at a local community television station where I got my experience and met the Urban Peasant. While creating this wiki, I just realized he died in 2007. During this time I also did some general courses, which was part of a full time program, not in my field. The following year I applied again for TV Broadcasting and got in. Nearing the end of the program is where I met my current boyfriend, now common-law. I received my diploma in 2001 and didn't land a single job in the field.
Lack of jobs, in my Broadcasting field, led me to take another program called Interactive Multimedia, a one year intensive program. This program taught me web design, graphic design, some coding etc. or at least it was supposed to.
Outside of school I was still in the same Concert band, called Nepean Concert Band and took cardio kickboxing with Therien Jiu-Jitsu & Kickboxing
Profession
I am a 'jane' of all trades when it comes to media and training. Some of these are paid and some not.
One on One Computer Training
I go to peoples homes, usually 55+ and train them how to do simple things on their computers. I have been told that I have a lot of patience and that is a wise skill to have when dealing with people who don't use these 'maddening' machines every day, like we do.
Website Design
Here are a couple of websites I have created. Some as a paid contract and some not.
Production Assistant
The task of a production assistant, isn't an easy one. You are treated like crap and your pay is the lowest on the totem. But you have to start somewhere.
- Be Real - reality TV - television series (lasted one season)
- Design U - home improvement -television series
Grip
A lot of technical setup, on film and television productions, is done by a Grip. The grip usually works with the camera department to set up the lights and laying cables. They are also asked to do many other jobs requiring feats of strength and of 'slight' skill. Then when the show is being shot, grips usually just hang out in the back of their grip trucks developing the common 'Grip crack', similar to the 'Plumbers crack', until they are needed.
- Prank Patrol - kids - television series
Introduction to Star Wars
Originally I became a fan of Star Trek, following TNG, DS9 and VOY (my favourite), and having watched them all through out high school. I never thought twice of Star Wars having watched the original series and at the end of high school a fellow geeky friend of mine took me to see the re-releases of the original series, then it kind of grew from there. In college I worked on a film project called "J-Men", a cross between Star Wars and X-men characters and led to me writing my own fan film called "What Becomes You", which never was produced and one day it might.

501st Legion - Vader's Fist
As my profile picture indicates, I am into Star Wars costuming. The organization, listed above, is a Star Wars Costume organization, called the 501st Legion. One of the main things our group does is dress up for charity organizations and raise money for some sort of cause. We also partake in a lot of cons. Fan Expo and Dragon Con are two of the Cons you will officially see us at. As far as I know, including me, there are two members in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood also members of the 501st.

Film Making
Since my time in and after receiving my Diploma for Television Broadcasting I have volunteered working on films. I started of as a Production Assistant, then as a Grip and now I have been fully involved behind the camera, directly as the Director of Photography (DOP). Some of the productions I have worked on are the following;
- She Rex - Fall 2009
- Blood Red Moon - Summer 2009
- The Scarab - Winter/Spring 2009
- Iron Soldier - Winter 2009
- Zero Hour - Fall 2009
- The Heat of the Moment - Summer 2005
- Hank and Mike - Summer 2000
The biggest involved production I have been in, has to be my own Star Wars fan film, which is currently in post-production. I was Producer, Director, Editor, and Director of Photography. It is called Vader's Apprentice, a Fan Film. Here is the working teaser click here.
The production company it is affiliated is called Ghost Moon Productions, the 2nd film to be shot under this name. The other being "The Heat of the Moment", for which was premiered at a local bar called Heaven. Ironically the film is about a guy who makes a deal with the devil.
Music
In Middle School (grades 6-8) I was put into the music program and the instrument I was associated with was the Clarinet. Then while I was in High School I decided to join a community Concert Band as well as playing in the High Schools on Junior and Senior Band, plus the Sea Cadet band I was associated with.
In this community band I played for about a year as 2nd clarinet and while the clarinet section was growing, the Alto Sax was depleting. So having graduated High School, and keeping up my music and decided to take up the Alto Sax and went to private lessons. It didn't take me long to also join a Jazz band and be 2nd Alto in the Nepean Concert Band, for which I am still a part of to this day.

To Do List
I have many little notepads, with list of "To Dos", the may repeat things from previous list, but I have lots of "little things" that need "To Do'ing." I might be a bit of a procrastinator but I am also a multitask-er, unless I work really hard to stay focused on one thing, I usually get part of something done while working on another part and never really get them done.

The Bucket List
A list of things to do before you die. Comes from the term "kicked the bucket". These I classify different then my goals in life. I consider a bucket list something that either costs or risks ones life.
- Jump out of a plane (parachute included, of course). I honor this bucket list item to my parents. My parents met jumping out of planes, my dad putting my mom out on her first jump.
- Japanese Tea Ceremony. I really look forward to one day taking this ceremony. I feel it would be a wonderful experience, and from what I hear, it is not as easy as it sounds.
